Chris Stenberg
Research Director

Chris is a researcher and ethnographer with an intuitive understanding of the human condition. His mixed background in film, photography, and market research enables him to bring street level observational intelligence to the boardroom in visually stunning and effective ways.

For the past five years Chris has worked primarily in video ethnography with some of the world’s top brands on projects relating to everything from fashion to sports and technology. Recent projects have included work for Axe, Aeroplan, Banana Republic, Beam Global Spirits, Time Warner, Wrigley, Pepsi, Neutrogena, Nike, and others.

As a freelancer working for leading market research firms, Chris has learned from some of the best researchers, ethnographers, and moderators while at work in the field. Currently Chris is beginning the trek toward master moderator status through training at the Riva Institute.

I love what I do, and I’m always curious about what drives people in their daily lives. I have met such an amazing cross-section of interesting people along the way and connecting with them has been a truly rewarding experience. I’m also a bit of a gadget and design geek, so it’s fulfilling for me to inform the process of good product and advertising design.

Outside of work you’ll likely find Chris riding his bike, sourcing great local food and wine, cooking/eating, and traveling the world. Chris spends a good portion of the year living out of a small suitcase and enjoys it thoroughly.
